Our Story: Bringing The Ocean To Land
After thrilling millions with our amusement and water parks, the VGP Group turned its gaze to the horizon, to the endless blue that calls to dreamers and explorers alike. We believe the ocean’s magic extends beyond the shore, it is something to witness, cherish and connect with.
And, so in 2019, VGP Marine Kingdom opened the doors for Singara Chennai to step into it. Spread across 70,000 sq. ft. and 5 unique zones, we house many indigenous and exotic marine species, to tell the ocean’s story more vividly than words ever could.
From shark-tank birthdays and scuba dives to educational trips, banquet halls, a multi-cuisine food court and ocean-themed souvenirs, incredible experiences await. At the heart of it all is our dream, to draw people to marine life and show that the depths are as magnificent as the skies.

Our Role & Impact
We are proud to say that the VGP Marine Kingdom is centred on our heartfelt dedication to the ocean. Many of our species are rare and near-extinct and we are doing our part to protect them.
Through our Marine Biotechnology Research Centre, we are deepening our understanding of aquatic health, breeding endangered species and championing conservation. But most importantly, we are sharing those lessons with our guests.
Because every conversation that begins here ripples outward, inspiring awareness, compassion and change. Each ticket, each tour and each moment spent under our glass tunnels helps us continue our mission to preserve marine biodiversity for future generations.
