India’s largest public aquarium, VGP Marine Kingdom is conducting a Recycle Art Selfie Exhibition between the 19th of December to 3rd of January from 9 AM to 8 PM.
The exhibition is free to see along with an entry ticket to the aquarium. It features art exhibits made out of waste depicting how plastic pollution is destroying marine life without us even realising.
The installations have been created by a Chennai based Artist Gowtham who is popularly known for the Corona helmet and Corona Auto. The main highlight was the Killer Whale exhibit covered completely with 40,000 plastic bottle caps, which is featured at the Recycle Art Selfie Exhibition happening at VGP Marine Kingdom. Some of the other exhibits include Recycle Rainbow, Straw Shark just to name a few.
Apart from admiring the art, visitors will be educated by environmentalists about how actionable steps can be taken to reduce plastic pollution. They can take part in the “Plastic Free 2021” Selfie-Slogan contest where the most original slogan will win a free night stay at a popular hotel, scuba dive and many more goodies. To participate they need to share a post on social media of a selfie in front of any of the exhibits with the slogan and hashtag #recycleReuse in the description. Winner will be announced on 3rd January.
Other activities will include a candle light dinner on 25th at our underwater banquet hall and Scuba Santa appearance throughout the day
Our Managing Director, Mr VGP Ravidas & CEO, Mr VGP Premdas, cordially invite you to visit the exhibition so that your readers will come to know about the exciting things we are doing.
